Kenneth M. Schultz joined Greenberg Traurig in 1995 as the firm's Director of Technology
and Information Systems (M.I.S.). Greenberg Traurig is a large law firm based in
Miami with 29 locations throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Greenberg
Traurig's mission is to be a leading international law firm viewing technology as
one of the primary vehicles to achieve that goal.
Greenberg Traurig has been rated as one of the fastest growing firms in the world
and has opened twelve new offices and added nearly six hundred Attorneys in the
past five years. Kenneth has played a key role in the implementation of new offices
including mergers, acquisitions and integration of financial systems.
Kenneth manages the firm's Information Systems departments and has engineered the
systems used by the firm. Greenberg Traurig has relied only on its own staff for
the implementation, training, programming and conversion associated with all its
offices. As a member of the Microsoft Legal Advisory Council, Kenneth has made major
contributions nationally, in his work with Microsoft products and particularly Microsoft
Word.
Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Kenneth spent over eight years working with
over 200 Law Firms throughout the country supplying integration and consulting services.
These services included both front and back office systems. He has had experience
with financial systems as well as docket, case management, word processing and communications.
As a "systems integrator", Kenneth is experienced with complex computer networks
and has been involved with the Novell and Windows NT software since its inception.
Kenneth's original background is in programming with major experience in Artificial
Intelligence research with a specialty in "expert systems" design. He is proficient
in over fifteen programming languages, more than ten database systems and hundreds
of applications.
Kenneth received his Engineering degrees from the University of Florida in 1985.
As a High Honors graduate, Kenneth performed thesis work in expert systems research
for the government’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). He also
worked for Gould Electronics in numerous capacities including designing expert systems
and Unix Operating system development.
